UK-headquartered specialist real estate asset manager QSix has launched in the Netherlands, with the opening of a new office in Amsterdam.
The office will be headed up by Eduard Mantz, who joins the commercial real estate (CRE) debt team at the company. Mantz has been charged with spearheading QSix’s growth into the country, developing a new CRE debt strategy specifically tailored towards the Dutch market.
Mantz previously co-founded Crelend, one of the first platforms to address the lack of funding options for smaller CRE loans in the Netherlands. Prior to this, he spent over four years at BlackRock where he held the title of vice president, originator real estate debt Europe and over eight years at ING real estate finance, leading on loan originations and deal structuring across Europe.
Mike Hilton, CEO of QSix, said: 'We are delighted to welcome Eduard to QSix and to open our office in the Netherlands which, under Eduard’s direction, will offer a tailored, differentiated CRE debt strategy capable of capitalising on the attractive Dutch market, something we have monitored for some time.
'Eduard will work with Gareth Williams, head of the real estate finance team to grow the QSix CRE debt offering in the Netherlands.'
Ayman Souihli has also joined the CRE team at QSix in London as an investment associate, following his role as investment manager at real estate developer Lamington Group and three years working at asset manager Cheyne Capital Management.
'Alongside the appointment of Ayman, this is yet another example of our growth potential through the uncovering of unique investment opportunities across a variety of markets, as well as our ability to attract the best talent in the sector. I look forward to working closely with Eduard and the team,' Hilton added.
Said Mantz: 'QSix is an exceptional institutional manager with a strong history of identifying unique investment opportunities and capitalising on them successfully. The Dutch CRE debt market is hugely attractive, holds significant potential and has a clear opening for us.
'I look forward to leading the company’s expansion into this new market and helping QSix expand its offering across Europe.'
