Nozu Hotels & Resorts, part of the Qatari private company Jaidah Holdings, has acquired the five-star St Regis and Westin Excelsior hotels in Rome for €190 mln.
Nozu, which is already the owner of Gritti Palace in Venice, bought the historic assets from Starwood Hotels & Resorts for a price believed to be roughly in the line with the asking price.
The St. Regis hotel provides 99 rooms in the city centre of Florence with a view on the Arno river. It is an historic asset originally designed by the world-famous Renaissance architect Brunelleschi.
The Westin Excelsior provides 171 rooms, also with a view on the Arno river.
JLL advised Starwood on the deal.
