Europe Real Estate, the publishing company of Dutch business entrepreneur Marinus Dijkman, will undergo a restart under the banner of Dijkman Publishers. The Hague-based company went into administration in May following an unsuccessful bid to obtain court protecition from creditors. Dijkman said the bankruptcy only affected the yearbook activities.

Dijkman said he had paid EUR 122,500 to continue the failed activities under the new company name. He added that the jobs of 15 of the 32 employees had been safeguarded.

Dijkman attributed the company failure to the credit crisis. 'In 2008 we had expected to make a profit but that failed to materialise in the fourth quarter due to the crisis. Everybody slammed on the brakes and we continued to make costs. This resulted in a cashflow problem in May due to lack of adequate reserves.'
