US logistics giant Prologis said that its Prologis Targeted Europe Logistics Fund (PTELF) has purchased a 56,000 m2 logistics facility in Moerdijk in the Netherlands for an undisclosed amount.
Prologis is already the owner of four distribution centres in Moerdijk, and this purchase brings the gross floor area owned by the company to more than 150,000 m2.
'This acquisition boosted our plans to strengthen our position in logistics hotspots,' said Bram Verhoeven, country manager, Prologis Benelux. 'Moerdijk is a multi-modal hub and is in an extremely convenient location. The acquisition also allows us to continue to facilitate our clients’ growth in the longer term.'
Prologis has a 1.6 million m2 portfolio in the Benelux.
Prologis was advised by DTZ and Clifford Chance.
