The ranking, which is based on lending volume over 2009 and is compiled by the Dutch sister publication of PropertyEU, is headed by ING Real Estate Finance with EUR 5.9 bn.
Berlin Hyp moved up this year to sixth from eighth position in 2009, with lending production of EUR 217 mln. This is more than double the figure recorded in 2008. Deutsche Hypo also booked significant growth in the Dutch market in 2009, moving from ninth position to seventh position with lending volume of EUR 212 mln.
The biggest decline was recorded by SNS Property Finance which saw new lending production shrivel to EUR 800 mln in 2009 from EUR 4.7 bn in 2008. As a result, the Dutch lender ceded its long-held position at number three to NIBC.
