Italy's real estate offers many attractive opportunities yet cross-border investors often find the market hard to access. This may be changing now that the country has a reform government led by Mario Monti who replaced Silvio Berlusconi, the controversial businessman-politician who was the longest serving post-war Italian prime minister.

To explore how the government change and various reforms are effecting the environment, PropertyEU is holding an Italian Investment Briefing for senior real estate professionals on the morning of 20 June. The event entitled 'Breaking the deadlock: will restructuring bring opportunities for investors?' is being hosted by Henderson Global Investors at the company's head office at 201 Bishopsgate in London.

A panel of leading experts, active in the Italian market, will give the latest local investment intelligence and discuss the valuations, the best sectors and regions, as well as the key risks and opportunities for cross-border investors.

The panel comprises Alberto Albertazzi, head of property, Italy at Henderson Global Investors; Domenico Bilotta, general manager Investire; Mariacristina Laria, partner, valuation & advisory at Cushman & Wakefield and Olaf Schmidt, head of the EMEA and Asia real estate practice at DLA Piper.

PropertyEU's Investment Briefings are designed for senior decision-makers in cross-border investment markets who represent institutional investors, listed and non-listed companies, investment managers, advisors, banks, sovereign wealth funds and private equity firms.

Entry is limited to 60-80 people to ensure a high quality interactive session where both attendees and speakers make connections with senior market colleagues. Networking takes place before and after the event.
