The three themes of the conference are sustainability, service and value. One of the first speakers on Wednesday will be Stina Soewarta, member of the Cabinet for Commissioner Piebalgs, EU Commissioner for Energy and Transport. Soewarta will give a talk on rational use of energy and conserving energy resources as a key element of the European sustainable development agenda.

Floris Alkemade, Office for Metropolitan Architecture in the Netherlands, will discuss urban planning and the impact on society, while Professor Christoph Achammer, member of the board ATP Group in Austria, talk about incorporating new sustainable standards in shopping centre refurbishments.

Menno Maas, CEO of ING Real Estate Development, is the last scheduled speaker on Wednesday. He will give a rundown of the major projects that recently opened or are due to open in the next 12 months throughout Europe, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine.
