Prologis, the largest operator of distribution facilities in the world, announced on Monday that it will develop around 16,000 m2 of industrial space in Warsaw for Raben Polska, the Polish division of the logistics services provider Raben Group. The new facility will be located within Prologis' Park Blonie II, a new distribution park being built 25 km west of downtown Warsaw.
'Poland's economy currently benefits from a steady supply of foreign direct investment. As a result, leasing and build-to-suit activity in Warsaw and the surrounding submarkets remains solid,' said Ben Bannatyne, managing director for Prologis in CEE.
Park Blonie II currently has four facilities under construction with 112,000 m2, of which two are already pre-leased. At full build-out, the park could accomodate nine buildings totalling 241,000 m2. Construction for Raben's facility is expected to start in the fourth quarter. Prologis has assets under management of 2.1 million m2 in Poland.
