US logistics property giant Prologis has signed a built-to-suit agreement for the development of a 70,000 m2 facility in Venlo, The Netherlands with an unnamed electronics equipment supplier.

The new facility, known as DC8, will be located within the Trade Port Noord business park in the southern Dutch city and will consist of a total of 90,000 m2, with the electronics giant occupying 70,000 m2.

The remaining 18,000 m2 will be built speculatively and will be available on the market from April 2019.

'We already work together with this client in many places around the world, and now also in Venlo, a logistics hotspot in the Netherlands. We are also happy that we can report that we can expand by another 100,000 m2 here,' said Bram Verhoeven, country manager for the Benelux at Prologis.
