Prologis, the world's leading provider of distribution facilities, has leased 7,000 m2 of recently completed distribution space near Heathrow International Airport in the UK to parcel delivery service City Link.

City Link's lease is for 100% of the space in a new facility at Prologis Park Heathrow, a 27,000 m2 distribution park located less than two miles from the airport. The company is consolidating and expanding from two other non-Prologis facilities nearby, and will use the new building as its primary distribution centre in West London.

Prologis said it would fit-out the building according to the customer's requirements for enhanced heating, lighting and security measures.

Prologis' UK distribution portfolio currently comprises 1.8 million m2 of industrial space owned or managed. Other major customers in the country include ASOS.com, Bosch-Siemens, The Co-operative Group, Debenhams, DHL, GEFCO, Honda Logistics, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Screwfix, Spec Savers and Superdrug. Prologis provides more than 44 million m2 of industrial space in markets across North America, Europe and Asia.
