Prologis European Properties (PEPR), Europe's largest owner of modern warehouse distribution facilities, has announced that it has extended a 4,500 m[sup]2[/sup] lease in Sosnowiec in Poland with Delta Plus Group for an additional 16 months to August 2012 at the passing rent and finalised a new lease for another 3,800 m[sup]2[/sup] in the same facility to the new maturity date at current market rents. Delta Plus Group, a worldwide leader in the manufacture and distribution of personal protective equipment, now occupies a total 8,300 m[sup]2[/sup] of distribution space at Prologis Park Sosnowiec.

Simon Nelson, head of asset management of PEPR said: 'We are pleased to be able to expand our relationship with Delta Plus Group following their successful business development. This transaction demonstrates our focus on customer service and the demand for modern, efficient warehouse space in the right location.'

Separately, PEPR has leased 19.500 m2 of industrial space at its Prologis Distribution Centres in Rotterdam to an unnamed logistics provider for metals and soft commodities. The complex, which comprises two buildings of 19,500 m2 each, is now largely leased.

Prologis Distribution Centres Maasvlakte was built in 2000 gebouwd as one of the company's first developments in the Netherlands. The complex was leased at the time to DHL, which provided logistics services to Epson. These activities have seen been moved to Tilburg in the south of the country. The transaction brings PEPR's occupancy rate in the Netherlands to 95.7%.
