Prologis, the global provider of distribution facilities, has signed development portfolio lease agreements totalling 67,000 m2 with two customers in Europe.
'We are pleased to announce additional leasing activity in the European continent,' said Philip Dunne, Prologis president in Europe. 'We continue to see stabilisation in the local markets, especially in the UK, where we have just signed our sixth new lease this year. This brings us to a total of approximately 1.7 million square feet (157,900 m2) of leasing in newly developed facilities in the UK year to date.'
ASOS, the UK's largest online fashion and beauty retailer, has agreed to occupy 49,200 m2 of previously unleased space at Prologis Barnsley, located in South Yorkshire, UK. The building is now fully leased.
Sony will occupy 18,000 m2 of previously unleased space at Prologis Park Pilsen-Stenovice Building One, located near Pilsen, Czech Republic. The park faces the D5 motorway, the only highway connection between Prague and western Germany. As a result of this transaction, Prologis Park Pilsen-Stenovice is now fully leased.
