Logistics property giant Prologis said it has leased around 26,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of space in its Park du Hode in Le Havre, France. In a statement, the company said that the new building is the second to be occupied by Cedilec in the 150,000 m[sup]2[/sup] park located 7 km away from Le Havre. Cedilec is the logistics provider for the French department store chain Leclerc.

In a statement, the company said that the new building is the second to be occupied by Cedilec in the 150,000 m2 park located 7 km away from Le Havre. Cedilec is the logistics provider for the French department store chain Leclerc.

‘This new warehouse will allow us to continue efficiently delivering our goods all across France and respond to the needs of our clients,’ said Jacky Targat, warehousing director at Cedilec.

‘Logistics demand in Le Havre keeps increasing as the city houses the most important port in France,’ added Ranald Hahn, managing director of Southern Europe at ProLogis.

ProLogis’ Park du Hode consists of six buildings and two new developments which are expected to bring the total surface of the park to over 220,000 m2. Other major tenants in the park are Schenker, Altadis, Gefco and XP Log.
ProLogis manages more than 2.4 million m2 of warehousing space in France, mostly located in the Paris region, Le Havre, Lyon, Marseille, Orléans and Vatry.
