Michael de Jong-Douglas, managing director of Prologis in Central and Eastern Europe, said there is steady demand for modern warehouse space in Slovakia due to the strong growth of the economy. 'Prologis Park Bratislava is strategically located near the capital and the Austria-Hungary border, providing for convenient local and cross-border distribution. We are seeing strong activity at all of our parks in Slovakia, and anticipate interest from the region's suppliers, retailers and third-party logistics providers will continue to expand as trade, job and consumer spending increases,' De Jong-Douglas said.

Prologis Park Bratislava comprises six distribution centres totalling 180,000 m2 of space. When fully built the park will have eight buildings providing a total of 250,000 m2 of space. At end-march this year, Prologis owned and managed three parks in Slovakia comprising 362,000 m2.
