Global logistics property provider Prologis said on Thursday it had leased 134,000 square feet (12,500 square meters) of newly developed distribution space in Germany to West German Beverage Logistics (WGL), a leading third party logistics provider for the beverage industry. WGL will occupy the space at Prologis Park Weilerswist for a one-year term. The company will use the space to deliver finished goods to its customer's many retail outlets located throughout Germany. This is the first lease agreement between WGL and Prologis.

Prologis Park Weilerswist is located near Cologne, Germany. The distribution park comprises three buildings with a total of approximately 435,000 square feet (40,500 m2). All facilities within the park include energy-efficient lighting systems, helping Prologis' customers to reduce their lighting costs.
Prologis claim it is the largest provider of industrial space in Germany with approximately 14.8 million square feet (1.37 million m2). Other Prologis customers in Germany include LGI, Jack Wolfskin, DSV, Dachser, Rewe and BLG.
