Industrial space specialist Prologis has started construction of a 47,000 m2 facility at Prologis Park Bratislava in Slovakia. Prologis Park Bratislava (DC7) will be developed in two phases. Construction of the 24,500 m2 Phase I commenced in March 2012 and completion is planned for the third quarter of 2012.

'With our portfolio 100% leased, we are out of facilities and continue to receive strong interest in Prologis Park Bratislava among our customers. We have therefore decided to move forward with speculative construction,' said Martin Polak, vice president and market officer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia at Prologis.

Prologis Park Bratislava is located 24 kilometres east of Bratislava city centre and 2 kilometres from Senec. It currently consists of six distribution facilities totalling more than 183,000 m2. The park has the capacity to accommodate two additional buildings totalling 100,000 m2.
