Prologis, the Denver-based owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, has signed an agreement with Network Rail for a 300,000 sq ft (30,000 m2) turnkey distribution centre at Prologis Park Ryton in the West Midlands. The facility is being designed to achieve BREEAM 'Very Good' accreditation and the best possible Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating for its size.

Prologis Park Ryton is located on the A45 at the centre of the UK motorway network and near to Coventry Airport. Construction is expected to be complete in March 2013.

As of June 30, 2012, Prologis had approximately 18 million sq ft (1.7 mln m2) of logistics and distribution space completed or under development in the UK. Worldwide, the company had approximately 52.9 million m2 in 21 countries on this date.
