New York-listed Prologis has signed a new lease agreement for 12,600 m2 in the Czech Republic with one of Europe's largest communications distributors. The company will occupy space in a facility at Prologis Park Uzice, Prologis'first sustainable distribution park delivered in Central and Eastern Europe.
Prologis said the park is strategically located along the D8 motorway, about nine kilometres from the border city of Prague, and benefits from excellent access to major transit routes linking Prague to the northern region of the Czech Republic, Germany and the Hamburg international seaport.
The park offers high-quality distribution facilities that incorporate a number of environmentally sensitive design features and technologies to help reduce their impact on the environment. This includes high air-tightness standards for lower energy costs, energy efficient lighting control systems, rainwater collection for soil irrigation and facade cleaning, and an appealing work environment with an on-site garden area for employees.
ProLogis Park Uzice currently comprises four buildings totalling more than 97,000 m2. Other customers at the park include Rossmann, FIEGE, TRANSKAM and Wincanton Czech Republic.
