The two partners have set up the Parkensemble Wünsdorf project company to provide around 9,800 m2 of living space across 101 residential units in Zossen-Wünsdorf, about 30 km from Berlin's southern city limits.

The €50 mln project consists of the renovation of a listed military hospital with 46 flats and the construction of four modern city villas with a total of 55 flats.

The residential units will be between 27 m2 and 176 m2 in size and will predominantly have balconies, terraces or conservatories.

The livings spaces in the four new buildings will range from 63 m2 to 149 m2 and each flat will have a balcony or terrace.

Andreas Schütz, managing director of Profi Select Coriolanus and Parkensemble Wünsdorf Projektentwicklungs, said: ‘Especially in the case of listed buildings, most of the walls can be preserved, which means that we can save a lot of building materials under the aspect of sustainability and still create urgently needed living space. Berlin's Speckgürtel is currently becoming more and more important. The quarter in idyllic Wünsdorf is therefore aimed at people who want a balance to city life in the countryside and still want to be well connected to the big city.’

The neighbourhood will have a total of 142 parking spaces.

Planning permission for the entire project has already been granted.
