Privae equity firm acquires office in Stockholm CBD

Mengus Stockholm, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has acquired the office leasehold property Järnplåten 29 from NIAM Fund IV for an undisclosed sum.

The 3,100-m² property is located in Stockholm CBD at Oxtorgsgränd 2 and is partly vacant. The property was erected in 1971 and was thoroughly refurbished in 2004.

Peter Wiman, head of research for Savills Sweden, comments: 'The transaction is a clear indication that there is a continued strong interest for properties in central Stockholm and that properties with letting potential are of interest, as market rents have increased since the beginning of the year'.
