French asset manager Primonial has announced two major retail and office acquisitions in Brussels and Paris.

In its first foray in Belgium, the asset manager has finalised the purchase of the Basilix shopping centre in the capital from landlord, financial group KBC for €60.6 mln. The deal, which is earmarked for a fund managed by Primonial, was first signed in June last year.

The two-storey mall provides 16,800 m2 of retail space over 54 stores as well as 400 parking spaces.

'Other transactions outside of France are currently being studied,' Primonial said in a statement.

In the new Trapèze business district of the Parisian suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt, Primonial has bought the Ardeko office complex from Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Meka Brunel, vice-presidente executive Europe at Ivanhoé Cambridge, said the deal had been a'n opportunity'. 'We continue to pursue our deployment strategy in London and Paris offices,' she added.

Delivered in December 2013, the complex consists of three buildings providing a total of 20,100 m2 of lettable space and 303 parking spaces.

CBRE Capital Markets brokered the deal. Primonial REIM was advised by law firm Allez & Associés, LPA and 7 Concept. Ivanhoé Cambridge was advised by Wargny-Katz and Allen & Overy.
