German hotel operating group Primestar has expanded its management team as it increasingly focuses on digitalization and technology as well as on new target groups.
Ronald Nilsson is the new CCO and managing director of Primestar Hospitality, Hotel und Operator, with responsibility for commercial matters, marketing and positioning of the franchise hotels and the new own brands June Six, June Stay and WorX.
With an extensive career in hospitality, he joins from IFA/Lopesan Group in Germany & Austria where he was managing director.
Last autumn, Dieter Esslinger took over the positions of COO and managing director of Primestar Hospitality, Hotel und Operator.
Also last year, Oliver Kupka took over as CEO of Primestar Group and managing partner of Primestar Holding.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ronald Nilsson said: ‘I am convinced that the Primestar Group is excellently positioned for the future and that I can actively support the growth course we have embarked upon.’
Oliver Kupka commented on the growth of the Primestar management team: ‘I am very much looking forward to working with Dieter and Ronald. Besides the individual expertise, the chemistry just feels right in our management team. I am sure that we will achieve the goals we are aiming for - as a team pursuing a common vision across the individual areas of responsibility.’
Primestar Group currently operates 17 hotels in major German cities, and the current franchise portfolio includes 3,701 rooms in German and Austrian A locations.
Further hotels are under construction in Vienna and additional locations in Hanover and Lake Garda.
