Premier, a French-based property company, has opened an office in Valencia to further reinforce its position in the Spanish residential market. The company plans to develop an average of 250 buildings per year in the area. The first step is an investment of EUR 27 mln in the development of three residential projects in Torrent, Albalat dels Sorells and Canet d'En Berenguer. Premier-Les Nouveaux Constructeurs was founded in France in 1972 by Olivier Mitterand. Since then, Premier has completed around 1,000 property development projects. It is active through its subsidiaries in several cities in Europe as well as in Yakarta and, obviously, in France. The Spanish subsidiary was created in 1989 and is the leading foreign subsidiary in terms of transaction volume. In 2005, Premier Espana had annual returns of EUR 6.3 mln on a turnover of EUR 56,8 mln last year.
