Pan-European real estate asset manager Prelios has established a new market research unit and hired Giancarlo Cucini to spearhead the team.
The group market research department allows the Italian firm to centralise its research and analysis activities across the property market and non-performing loans business lines.
'The establishment of a group market research unit and the appointment of Giancarlo Cucini are key to provide all divisions and clients of the Prelios group with support deriving from the reliable and consistent results of market analysis and research carried out in-house by one single department at the service of the entire company,' commented Riccardo Serrini, general manager of Prelios.
A graduate in banking economics from the University of Siena, Cucini began his professional career at the Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara. After working as senior analyst at IPD in London, Cucini held the position of senior associate at Morgan Stanley Capital International before working, most recently in the real estate valuation department at Nomisma.
