Pradera AM has announced the appointment of Nick Hewson to the board as non-executive director. Hewson and Pradera chairman Paul Whight were both founders of London-listed Grantchester Holdings and are reuniting again after 10 years apart.

The two built Granchester from a pure project management business into one of the largest listed developers of out-of-town retail property. Prior to Grantchester, Hewson and Whight worked together during the 1980s when they were directors of retail warehouse specialist developer Citygrove.

Paul Whight commented: 'I am delighted to welcome Nick onto the Pradera board. His track record speaks for itself - he is one of the finest operators in the business and brings considerable experience in property development which will be absolutely vital in the coming phase of Pradera’s further expansion.'

Pradera AM was founded in 1999 by Whight to act as a specialist fund management company for out-of-town retail property funds in Continental Europe, and currently has over EUR 2 bn of assets under management, operated from eight offices in Europe (Athens, Bucharest, Istanbul, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan and Prague). Pradera recently opened strategic offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Pradera's team comprises experienced fund managers, a first-class finance team and seasoned property professionals with extensive experience and connections in the out-of-town retail property market in Continental Europe.
