The Polish Council of Shopping Centres (PRCH) has become the latest national association to join the Brussels-based European Property Federation.
'EU policy is now crucial for real estate. Good EU law will improve Polish regulation and facilitate foreign investment. Our membership of EPF will enable active Polish involvement in the design of this EU legislative architecture, said Patrick Delcol and Radoslaw Knap, respectively chairman and director of PRCH.
PRCH is a not-for-profit association that represents more than 200 corporate members, including commercial property investment and development companies, shopping centres, retailers and service providers.
John Frederiksen and Joseph Houlihan, president and chairman of the managing committee of EPF, said that Poland is now a major player in EU policy-making and is represented by 51 members of the European Parliament. 'We look forward to working with the PRCH and, through it, with the Polish component of European government,' Frederiksen and Houlihan said.
Founded in Brussels in 1997, EPF represents all aspects of property ownership and investment touched by EU legislation. EPF's members own property assets valued at €1.5 tln, providing and managing buildings for the residential or services industry and the tenants that occupy them.
