Dentons real estate group expects activity in Poland to grow further this year after two key deals in recent weeks.

The law firm advised on two landmark deals in Poland recently including the sale of the Silesia City Center in Katowice by Austrian real estate company Immofinanz to Allianz Real Estate. The acquisition is the largest Polish transaction so far this year and the largest single-asset sale in Poland ever.

The group also advised Union Investment Real Estate on the acquisition of the Senator office building in Warsaw which marks the first office investment in Poland for the German fund manager's open-ended real estate fund UniImmo: Europa.

'These two transactions are a great example of the growing activity in the Polish real estate market,' said Pawel Debowski, head of Central Europe within the real estate group at Dentons Europe. 'We expect that this trend will continue to the end of the year.'

Dentons’ capital markets team in Warsaw also led on the recent debut listing of Immofinanz on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
