The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has formally welcomed Poland into its network of national organisations.
The Polish Council of Shopping Centers signed a membership agreement at the Mapic fair in Cannes last week, becoming the 10th European national council to become a full member.
Membership will give the Polish Council access to ICSC services including education, advocacy, research, networking and cross-border business opportunities.
Patrick Delcol, president of the Polish Council of Shopping Centers, said: ‘As the main retail real estate platform for Poland, the Polish Council of Shopping Centers is very proud and excited to enter into a closer partnership with ICSC.
‘We already shared similar values and duties for our industry. We will now enable an easier integration and participation of our members and organisations to the wider international retail real estate platform of ICSC.’
ICSC’s European managing director, Sandra de Jenken, said: 'I am very pleased to see the Polish Council of Shopping Centers becoming the 10th national council in Europe to join into collaboration with ICSC.
‘This is a great achievement showing the willingness to advance the industry together. I look forward to a great collaboration.'
