The infrastructure plan calls for the framework of a modern system to be in place by 2013. Poland aims to have 604 km of motorways and 2,246 km of expressways by 2015. The bulk of the funds will be drawn from European cohesion funds (76%), with the rest coming from the European Regional Development Fund. The total amount of invested funds will be greater than EUR 19 bn, the minister said, adding that the Polish authorities are required to co-finance the infrastructural projects funded with EU money.
