Israeli retail property developer Plaza Centers said Thursday it had opened the Arena Plaza shopping centre in Budapest. Areana Plaza is Hungary's largest shopping centre, with 66,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of lettable space, 220 retail units and 2,800 parking spaces. The shopping centre is already fully let. The anchor tenants include Tesco, the Inditex Group and Peek & Cloppenburg, plus major retailers such as H&M, Electro World, Hervis and C&A.

Arena Plaza was pre-sold to UK-based Active Asset Investment Management (AAIM) in August. The ultimate sale price will be between a minimum of EUR 380 mln and a maximum of EUR 400 mln, dependant on rent levels achieved.
