Real estate developer Plaza Centers has completed and opened Toruñ Plaza, its 10th shopping centre in Poland and its 31st in Central and Eastern Europe.
Toruñ Plaza is located in northwest Poland and comprises 40,000 m2 of gross lettable area spread over two floors with 1,100 parking spaces.
The centre includes an eight-screen cinema, Fantasy Park entertainment centre and a Delima delicatessen, as well as over 120 shops. Toruñ Plaza was 80% let on opening, with a further 10% of space in advanced negotiations.
Plaza, which is controlled by the Israeli public company Elbit Imaging, has been active in development of shopping and entertainment centres in emerging markets for over 15 years. It initially developed retail centres in Hungary and subsequently expanded into Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Latvia, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and India.
