PKF hospitality group, the consulting firm in hotel, living, tourism and leisure, has opened an office in Madrid, Spain, to cover the Iberian Peninsula.

The managing directors of PKF hospitality in Spain are Gabriele Kiessling and Stephan Reichelt, The co-heads commented: 'Hotel investments in Spain have exceeded pre-pandemic levels and reached a total of €3.2 bn.

Kiessling joined PKF hospitality group in Madrid in January 2021. As managing director, she leads the activities on the Iberian Peninsula and, as head of feasibility studies & valuations, she leads the corresponding teams globally.

Prior to that, Kiessling spent 15 years working for various consulting firms such as HVS, CBRE and Solutions dot WG in the field of strategic consulting. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Real Estate Management from HTW Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft in Berlin and a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey in London.

Reichelt joined PKF hospitality group in Madrid in January 2021. He brings over 25 years of consulting and operational experience within international hospitality management companies.

As managing director, he oversees the activities of the PKF hospitality group on the Iberian Peninsula. He is also involved in international asset management, strategic consultancy and project development assignments.

Prior to joining the PKF hospitality group, Reichelt held various management positions for international hotel groups in destinations including Raffles in London, InterContinental in Paris and Oman, and Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus, to name a few.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management from the International College of Hospitality Administration (ICHA Brig, César Ritz, Swiss Education Group) in Switzerland, a joint degree with the University of Massachusetts, Boston, US. He has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 2017.
