Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) has strengthened its real estate offering in the Nordic region with the appointment of Linus Nilsson as its new head of Nordics, based in Stockholm.
He will focus on direct real estate transactions across the region and report to Charlie Baigler, head of Acquisitions, Direct Real Estate at PAA.
Nilsson has more than 13 years of experience in the real estate industry and has held various positions in Stockholm and London. He joins from SBF Fonder, where he was the Chief Investment Officer.
At SBF he oversaw a team with overall responsibility for investment strategy, transactions and fundraising. Prior to SBF, he was a director at both NIAM in Stockholm and at Nuveen in London, where he worked on the Cityhold-mandate, a pan-European office joint venture which counted AP1 and AP2 among its investors.
Commenting on the appointments Zsolt Kohalmi, head of Direct Real Estate at PAA, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Linus to our growing European direct real estate business. His experience working with operators and investors in the Nordics will allow us to continue our expansion in the region and strengthen Pictet’s position as a market-leading real estate partner. We are confident that, with Linus on board, we will be able to identify interesting opportunities in the Nordic real estate markets and deliver favourable outcomes for our institutional and private wealth investors.’
