Belgian real estate asset manager Pertinea Property Partners has purchased the Oudeland and Wielwijk shopping centres on behalf of the RE-tail Return Partners II investment vehicle. Financial details were not disclosed.

The two properties are well located in de Randstad conurbation and comprise a total of six supermarkets. Located in Zwijndrecht near Rotterdam, Oudeland consists of 4,250 m2 of shopping space mostly let to Albert Heijn, Lidl and Kruidvat.

The Wielwijk centre in Dordrecht comprises 7,100 m2 of shopping space occupied by Albert Heijn, Aldi, Kruidvat and Zeeman.

RE-tail Return Partners II focuses on strategically located and dominant supermarkets and shopping clusters in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a focus on day-to-day groceries. It is capitalised by a group of Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourg institutional and private investors.

Last year the fund acquired two Dutch shopping centres in Enschede (Op de Brouwerij) and Zoetermeer (Buytenwegh). Earlier this year it bought the Flémalle Shopping retail park located in the periphery of Liege, Belgium.
