Italian developer Gruppo Percassi has announced the opening of Sicilia Fashion Village, the largest retail outlet centre of Southern Italy and the first one on the island of Sicily. The development company said that the scheme represents a total investment of EUR 120 mln and offers around 25,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of retail area across 120 shops and 3,100 parking spaces.
Italian developer Gruppo Percassi has announced the opening of Sicilia Fashion Village, the largest retail outlet centre of Southern Italy and the first one on the island of Sicily. The development company said that the scheme represents a total investment of EUR 120 mln and offers around 25,000 m2 of retail area across 120 shops and 3,100 parking spaces.
The scheme is expected to receive 3.5 million visits in the next 12 months, the company said. It is located in Agira, near Enna, conveniently situated along the highway connecting Palermo to Catania. Major tenants include Ballantyne, Billionaire, Brand by Dolce & Gabbana, Campanile, Dirk Bikkembergs, Bruno Magli, Ermenegildo Zegna and Calvin Klein.
The project is owned by Percassi's subsidiary, Premium Retail. Founded by Stefano Stroppiana in 2008, the unit has five projects under development, including San Pellegrino Terme, Fashion Mall, Azzano shopping centre and the Mall of Italy in Milan, for which the company is currently looking for an investor. The scheme is expected to be completed in 2013.
