UK's Peel Holdings announced last week that construction work has commenced on a new 103-bed Ramada Encore hotel, part of its Robin Hood business park at the Doncaster-Sheffield airport.
The scheme is being constructed by Irwins and is scheduled to open in late summer 2008. The hotel will be located just 400 metres from the Airport terminal and next to the Airports Business Park. 'We are delighted to see such an internationally renowned brand come to the Airport. The hotel will be an excellent facility for both travellers and local businesses alike,' Peel's Matthew Fitton said.
Robin Hood Business Park is a 62-acre site adjacent to Robin Hood Airport. It is home to a number of occupiers including Priority Sites and Business Homes. Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield is the UK's newest airport, having opened in South Yorkshire in April 2005.
