Swedish listed property company Peab will build a mixed-use development in Jönköping, Sweden, featuring apartments, offices, and a garage.
The SEK 368 mln (€33 mln) turnkey project starts in December 2024 and will be completed by May 2028.
In a joint effort with rental apartment customer Brandtornet and office building customer Hamhus, Peab will revitalize Jönköping's western skyline with two new buildings.
An apartment building will feature 191 rental apartments, while a new office building will offer around 6,000 m2 of rentable space allocated over six floors. A shared garage will be located on the new block Grävlingen.
The facades will primarily be made of brick, and both buildings will have rooftop terraces. The environmentally friendly buildings are designed with Silver certification in mind.
Anders Bergeling, region manager Peab, said: ‘We’re pleased and proud to be entrusted with realizing Brandtornet’s och Hamhus’ construction on one of the best locations in Jönköping. The project is right in line with our ambition to work locally and offer our customers a locally produced product.’
Joachim Nilforsen, MD of Brandtornet AB, added: ‘We’re convinced that Jönköping with its unique location will continue to grow. To be part of this development of Jönköping and create new rental apartments feels incredibly stimulating.’
Simon Harrius, MD of Hamhus AB, commented: ‘We look forward to being able to offer newly built, high-quality offices in a fantastic location in central Jönköping close to Jönköping University.’
