The Büschl group of companies has secured a green loan agreement in the three-digit million range from Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb) for a residential project in Munich.
The pioneering housing project on Truderinger Strasse in Munich will provide 240 freely available condominiums over 15 floors, based on the latest energy efficiency standard BEG 40. The project will also receive the coveted DGNB Gold certificate.
The central location offers future residents optimal connections to public transport, shopping facilities, and schools. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of 2026.
Mr. Scherer, managing director of project development, said: ‘Our new housing project on Truderinger Strasse embodies the vision of the Büschl group of companies to create high-quality and sustainable living spaces that meet the needs of our customers. With the use of the latest energy efficiency standards and the targeted DGNB Gold certificate, we are setting new standards for modern living in Munich.’
Dr. Alexander Schätz, managing partner, added: ‘The close cooperation with Deutsche Pfandbriefbank enables us to put our vision into practice and to realize an outstanding residential project. With our many years of experience and a strong team, we will ensure that the new building project on Truderinger Strasse will be an attractive and liveable home for many people. We are confident that this project will make a positive contribution to the development of the real estate market in Munich.’
Moise Bambara, director of financing, added: ‘The current financing environment in the real estate sector is undoubtedly demanding and presents many project developers with major challenges. We are therefore all the more proud that we have overcome this hurdle together with Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and secured the financing for our new building project in Munich Berg am Laim. The positive attitude and commitment of both parties has enabled us to create a reliable financial basis despite the complex market conditions.’
Gerhard Meitinger, head of real estate finance Germany at pbb, said: ‘With this housing project, we are contributing to several corporate goals: we are expanding our projects based on ESG criteria. We create living space in our home region. And we are once again proving that we can realize complex financing arrangements in a challenging market environment.’
