Kasraie joined the business in October as senior portfolio manager for the Swiss Life European Thematic Income & Growth (TIGR) Fund.

Based in Mayfair Capital’s London office, he will play a key role in overseeing investments on behalf of the TIGR fund, with backing from Swiss Life.

Kasraie has a breadth of experience working on pan-European real estate strategies – including managing assets across Northern, Western and Southern Europe. Prior to joining Mayfair Capital, he spent 16 years at Patrizia (formerly Rockspring Property Investment Managers). Amirali held several roles, including serving as fund manager of its flagship pan-European core balanced vehicle, in parallel to overseeing the management of a closed-end value-add portfolio invested across peripheral Europe and successfully leading the liquidation of a complex specialist fund.

Giles King, chief executive officer at Mayfair Capital, commented: ‘Amirali has a deep knowledge of the industry and brings a wealth of experience to help advance the TIGR strategy.  Swiss Life is well-positioned to deliver a compelling proposition for investors entering or expanding into the European real estate market. I look forward to working with Amirali as we seek to build on Swiss Life’s 120-year real estate investment heritage.’

Amirali Kasraie added: ‘At a time when yields are softening materially, the relative infancy of TIGR provides us with a distinct competitive advantage to focus on rapidly evolving occupier trends. As we continue to grow and diversify the vehicle across various countries and sectors, thorough assessment of fundamentals and ESG criteria on a case-by-case basis will be more crucial than ever before to generate long-term, sustainable value.’
