Patrizia Immobilien, the European real estate investment manager known for major institutions consortium transactions, has appointed Dirk Bootsma as director international capital markets for Europe.

Bootsma has been recruited to strengthen Patrizia's global fundraising capability with a focus on business development across Europe. This adds to Patrizia's existing team already active in Europe, North America and Australia.

Based in Amsterdam, Bootsma has 13 years’ experience in pan-European real estate investment management. He spent five years at PGGM as director private real estate investments where he was responsible for investments in Europe. This followed on from a number of years as a senior associate for CBRE Global Investors and ING REIM. Bootsma holds master's degrees in business administration and real estate investments & finance.

Patrizia has been active as an investment manager in the real estate market across 15 European countries for more than 30 years. Currently, the company manages real estate assets worth more than €19 bn, primarily as a portfolio manager and co-investor for insurance companies, pension fund institutions, sovereign funds, savings and cooperative banks.
