Augsburg-headquartered investment giant Patrizia has expanded its footprint to 24 offices by opening its latest base in Zurich, Switzerland, which hosts a number of senior executives of the company, including co-CEO Thomas Wels.
New to the Zurich office and Patrizia is Aaron Scott, who has joined as the firm's head of strategy & ESG. Reporting directly to Wels, Scott's mandate includes driving Patrizia's 'Strategy 2023' in which ESG is a strong focus.
Wels said: 'Zurich is an important global financial hub and with our new local office presence there, we can get better access to its global institutional investor network as well as serving our existing clients in Switzerland better.
'I am very pleased that Aaron Scott has joined us as our new head of strategy & ESG, to help accelerate the implementation of our Strategy 2023. In our blueprint for growth, ESG, sustainable investments and social impact are key strategic focus areas.'
Before joining Patrizia, Scott spent 20 years in change management and strategy development for the National Australian Bank (Melbourne) and UBS (London and Zurich).
