Patrizia appoints new division head

German listed real estate company Patrizia Immobilien has appointed Sebastian Lohmer as the new head of its commercial real estate division.

Lohmer assumes the role of managing director of the company’s Hamburg-based division Patrizia GewerbeInvest. The division specialises in commercial real estate activities and funds for institutional investors and has €3 bn of assets under management.

Lohmer joins Patrizia from TMW Pramerica where he served as managing director. Prior to that he spent 25 years in managerial roles at various real estate investment companies in Germany and the USA.

Lohmer succeeds Martin Lemke, who is resigning from management to seek new professional challenges. Lohmer will have joint responsibility with Lemke for the management of Patrizia GewerbeInvest until June 30, 2013.

Patrizia COO Klaus Schmitt welcomed the appointment. ‘We are pleased to gain such an internationally experienced real estate expert,’ he said.
