US logistics specialist Panattoni Europe will develop a new 20,100 m2 built-to-suit facility for pharmaceutical group Neuca in Ozarow, Poland. The project, whose construction started at the end of April, will mark the third and final phase of Panattoni Park Ozarow.
Located 15 km from the centre of Warsaw, the distribution park offers a total of 65,000 m2 of space across three properties. Major tenants include ACP Pharma, Hand-Prod, Astellas Pharma and Mercator Papier. The scheme is one of two that Panattoni is developing for Neuca in Poland, with the other located near Poznan.
Earlier this month Panattoni Europe also bought 60,000 m2 of land in Grebocin near Torun, Northern Poland for the development of a new logistics facility, Panattoni Park Torun, with around 30,000 m2 of warehousing and office space.
Point Park Properties (P3), the distribution facility unit of Arcapita bank, is also experiencing a period of strong growth in Central and Eastern Europe with a string of leasing deals being signed. The company said last week that it completed lease agreements for more than 111,000 m2 of warehouse space in the first three months of 2010 alone.
'The number of new leases signed in Czech, Poland, Germany and Slovakia show how the market has moved from a low in 2009', it said. P3 is well placed to benefit from the growing demand from occupiers across Europe, it added. 'We have the finance in place for further BTS opportunities and also for strategic investment purchases.'
