Warsaw-based Panattoni Europe said this week that it has commenced construction on an additional 11,400 m2 of warehouse space for Neuca, the Polish pharmaceuticals group. The new warehouse is a build-to-suit facility being developed by the company at its Park Poznan I in Gadki. The facility will offer 10,000 m2 of warehouse space and 1,400 m2 of office accomodation.
The asset located near Poznan is the second project executed by Panattoni Europe for Group Neuca, the first one being a warehouse under development at Panattoni Park Osarów near Warsaw. 'Both warehouses, totalling 30,500 m2 of space, called not only for executing the investment to the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical sector, but also providing the customer with strategic locations in both regions of Poland,' said Marek Forynski, director at Panattoni Europe.
Panattoni Park Poznan I is a 154,000-m2 distribution centre comprising four buildings situated along the national expressway, 13 km from the centre of Poznan. Currently, another construction is under way at the park - the 30,000-m2 eco warehouse for H&M. H&M leases in total 84,000 m2 of warehouse space at the park. Other customers at Panattoni Park Poznan include Piotr i Pawel, Navo, Gefco and Dachser.
Investment firm WP Carey & Co. has provided build-to-suit financing that will fund 100% of the construction and related development costs for the new facility in Poznan.
