Panattoni has commenced construction of 201,000 m2 of logistics space for online retail giant Amazon in a record letting transaction in Central and Eastern Europe.

Panattoni will develop two facilities in Sady near Poznan and in Wroclaw. The Sady property will offer over 100,000 m2 including 9,000 m2 of offices. The facility will also feature 2,154 car parking spaces. Delivery is planned for mid-August 2014.

The Wroclaw asset will provide another 100,000 m2 of space with 1,942 parking spaces and is due to be completed in October 2014.

'The distribution centres for Amazon constitute the biggest contract in the history of the real estate market in Poland and in CEE,' commented Robert Dobrzycki, managing partner for Panattoni Europe.

Panattoni Europe is currently developing more than 343,000 m2 in Poland and the Czech Republic, including two warehouse facilities for Amazon, a 50,000 m2 facility for Castorama Polska, and a 33,000 m2 BTS facility for Polaris.
