Panattoni has secured €32.8 mln in financing from Alior Bank for the construction of the Panattoni Park Lublin IV in Swidnik.
Construction work on the 55,000 m2 development, consisting of two buildings, kicked off in March and should be completed by the end of the year.
Three tenants, including high-tech production companies, have been secured for the complex.
Located within the Special Economic Zone in Swidnik, the complex will cater for warehousing, logistics, production and e-commerce operations.
Panattoni will employ a range of sustainability solutions including preparing the roofs for the installation of solar panelling.
Karina Trojanska, the chief financing & operating officer at Panattoni, said: ‘With another project in the Lubelski region, companies from many different sectors will be able to develop in this location as they see the potential of a growing market. Panattoni Park Lublin IV will allow production companies to create a superb platform and adapt the space to the requirements of their operations. We are extremely pleased with Alior Bank’s support, which proves that our investment in an emerging market has hit the bullseye and that financial institutions want to take part in the development of locations that are not so saturated. We are convinced that our activity contributes to the development of the region and will attract more foreign businesses.’
The developer has already delivered around 200,000 m2 in and around Lublin, a region that is rapidly becoming one of the driving forces behind all of Eastern Poland.
The Via Carpatia international route, currently under construction and passing through the region, will eventually connect Klaipeda in Lithuania with Thessaloniki in Greece to become a key transport route for the Eastern part of the EU.
