Financial details were not disclosed.

The site, located along the S8 route (Bialystok–Warsaw–Wroclaw), close to Nadarzyn, comprises 12.56 ha in total. Panattoni said that it would build Panattoni Park Warsaw South on the plot, with an area of almost 54,000 m2. The building permit is in place and construction work on the complex is set to start in January 2021.

According to Panattoni, the Warsaw region is the largest commercial real estate market in Central and Eastern Europe and as much as a quarter of all Polish logistics resources are located there.

Panattoni already holds 777,000 m2 of industrial space across the entire Warsaw region and has another 55,000 m2 under construction.

Marek Dobrzycki, managing director of Panattoni, said: 'Thanks to all this perfectly developed road infrastructure, the investment is just an hour from Lódz and 2.5 hours from Poznan and Silesia, while Wroclaw, Kraków and the TriCity are 3 hours away.

'Thus the largest and most important Polish metropolises and economic centres are within just a few hours’ drive. Additionally, there are two international airports nearby: Warsaw Chopin and Warsaw Modlin. Warsaw city centre can be reached within 20 minutes.'

Panattoni Park Warsaw South will comprise 53,400 m2 of warehouse space and 600 m2 of offices, and is set to be certified Breeam ‘Very Good’.
