Tim Hemmann and Moritz Arendt from the Business Development team are in charge of built-to-suit developments focusing on the Munich region as well as Lower Bavaria, Ingolstadt, Ulm, Augsburg, Nuremberg and Würzburg. In total, the new Panattoni team in Munich has five members of staff.

The developer is hoping that the new location will ensure an even better response to its customers’ needs in future thanks to greater client proximity. Planned cooperation with municipalities also plays an important role.

'As industrial developers, we have to take into consideration what a location or a municipality will and will not tolerate. Having a direct presence in the region gives us a definite advantage in order to be able to guarantee that this complex understanding is also taken into account in southern Germany even better in the future,' said Panattoni's managing partner Fred-Markus Bohne.

In 2019 to date, Panattoni has completed seven projects in Germany, with a further 10 in planning. At the same time, the developer has secured various premises including the logistics hotspots of Frankfurt am Main and Leipzig, as well as in Bremen and the Ruhr.

'In light of the acute shortage of space all over Germany, the market is presently experiencing an extreme surplus of demand. We have responded to this with a more proactive approach and are increasingly developing our properties without pre-letting them. Generally, we can find tenants before the properties have been completed,' commented Bohne.
