Leading industrial developer Panattoni continues to staff its new office in the Netherlands, with the appointment of a new director for structured finance and operations.

Niels Heijndijk takes up the position, with responsibility for managing investor relations, raising capital and financing for new investment projects in what is Europe’s second biggest logistics market after Germany.

Heijndijk has 12 years’ experience in property finance, working most recently as director of project finance and treasurer at Meijer Realty Partners - one of the largest Dutch commercial developers. In that role he was responsible for the many prize-winning and prestigious projects developed by MRP. Prior to that, he worked at Rabobank Group and at FGH Bank – a subsidiary of Rabo focusing upon property.

Welcoming the appointment, Jeroen Gerritsen, managing director of Panattoni Netherlands, said: ‘We are very excited to welcome Niels to the team. With Niels on board, we’ll be able to create more new opportunities. Also with our new office manager Sandra Kars joining, we are expanding the Panattoni Netherlands platform rapidly to handle the projects we are already sourcing today. We intend to grow further to pave the way for our ambitions.’
