Logistics property developer Panattoni Europe said that it has started construction of a modern industrial facility for Polish appliance producer Zelmer Group in the southeast of Poland. The new built-to-suit facility in Glogow Malopolski municipality will offer 28,500 m2 of production and warehouse space, with a further 4,000 m2 of office space in the Euro-Park Mielec, located in a growing economic area of the country.

'When we started talks on this investment as a developer, there was not a single finished building around the planned location. Nine months have passed and most lots are full. For us, it is a positive sign that Special Economic Zones such as Euro-Park Mielec will very soon become significant markers of market growth, especially in the context of the industrial property sector,' said Robert Dobrzycki, managing partner for Central and Eastern Europe at Panattoni.

Last week, UK logistics developer Gazeley said it has laid the first stone for a 10,500 m2 logistics center in Lower Franconia for printing machine producer W. & M. Schenk. The centre is due for delivery in the spring of 2011.
